Getting his start in Tampa, FL, DJ meddle is new to the Seattle scene.
First introduced to electronic music in 1994, Andy began to understand the
feeling that electronic music can evoke by listening to the local (but soon
to be internationally known) DJs of the Central Florida underground scene.
DJs & acts such as Kimball Collins, Sasha, John Digweed & Rabbit in the Moon were the early pioneers of the scene and had a great effect on the basis of Andy's sound. Three years later Andy launched his music career aspiring to
follow in the footsteps that the legends of the local scene had set.
Numerous parties then followed. The club scene was next with his debut in
St. Petersburg in the winter of 1999. Andy then established residencies in
St. Pete and Ybor City, most notably The Rare Olive & The Realm.
In the summer of 2003 he joined with 4 the nod Productions. With 4 the nod,
he helped to re-establish the dying house/trance scene in the bay area.
Playing at a number of venues 4 the nod earned a big following landing Andy
a residency Friday nights at Tampa's largest nightclub, The Underground. It
was here that Andy's skills truly matured and the moniker of meddle was
born.
Over his career DJ meddle has played with DJs and acts such as The Crystal
Method, Donald Glaude, Bass Bin Twins, DJ Hyper, Jodi Wisternoff and Andy
Hughes. His philosophy on DJing is simple...its all about the mixes. By
effortlessy blending a mix of dark and dirty tribal beats, lush progressive
melodies and banging acid and electro synths, DJ meddle is a DJ not to be
missed as he sets his sights on the Seattle scene.
